Food Truck Location and Daypart Performance Comparison
Compare repeated services using actual POS, invoice, fee, travel, and payroll data. See which location and daypart combinations produce contribution after the direct costs you entered.
Starter records are clearly illustrative. Replace them before making a decision. Contribution shown here is before unentered overhead, tax, debt, depreciation, and owner compensation.

Location and daypart comparison
Results are weighted from all entered records in each group. More repeat services usually make a comparison more useful than a single exceptional day.
| Location and daypart | Services | Sales | Contribution | Margin | Avg order | Orders / service hr | Contribution / service hr | Contribution / labor hr |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Downtown office block | Lunch Highest per hour | 2 | $2,680 | $1,195 | 44.6% | $15 | 35.2 | $239 | $65 |
| Riverside brewery | Dinner | 2 | $3,495 | $1,359 | 38.9% | $16 | 27.4 | $170 | $49 |
Read the result carefully
A high sales total can hide a weak service-hour return. Compare contribution per service hour, order pace, average order, and contribution per paid labor hour together.
Record weather, special events, promotions, stockouts, menu changes, access problems, and unusual labor. These explain outliers that the numbers alone cannot.
Do not call a location proven after one visit. Look for repeatability across comparable dates and seasons.
