Compare cost after yield, not only case price
Usable unit cost equals pack price plus allocated delivery, divided by the usable quantity after yield. This makes differently priced and differently trimmed products easier to compare. It still does not capture every supplier risk, so keep reliability, lead time, minimums, approved substitutions, and service history visible in the decision.
