Recipe Yield and Batch Scaling Calculator

Scale a tested base recipe to the portions you need, add a deliberate production buffer, divide the work into safe batches, account for preparation yield, subtract usable stock, and round purchases to full packs.

Your entries stay in this browser tab. This calculator does not replace a tested recipe, a food safety plan, or equipment capacity limits.

Production target

Base recipe ingredients

Enter the usable quantity in the tested base recipe. Preparation yield converts that usable requirement back to the as-purchased amount.

Scaling quantity does not guarantee the same finished product

A mathematically correct scale factor can still fail when mixing, heating, cooling, seasoning, pan depth, equipment recovery, holding time, or ingredient behavior changes at a larger volume. Treat the calculated quantities as a production plan. Test the larger batch, define the maximum safe batch size, and record actual sellable yield.
